ShoreViews, LLC was founded January 1, 2009 by Lori Hopkins Cavanagh. ShoreViews with its companion web site ShoreViews.com is a unique, highly targeted, full service, boutique agency specializing in coastal real estate sales. Designed to meet the specific needs, desires and expectations of shore buyers and sellers, ShoreViews considers its mission beyond the sale of real estate and seeks to be a community where those who love the coast and all its attributes, will find their 'home on the web'.

Our goal is to provide Buyers, worldwide, with the ‘ultimate’ one-stop, real estate web site where they can get the shore community information they need to select the perfect home, condo, rental property and land, along the coast. "Shore Links" and "Shore Towns" will be developed to encompass relevant information specific to shore living.

ShoreViews, LLC was founded January 1, 2009 by Lori Hopkins Cavanagh, whose entrepreneurial spirit, marketing and real estate expertise spans over 25 years. As owner of Hopkins Advertising and Public Relations, Inc., an award winning, full service ad agency, Lori developed strategic marketing plans and creative for such renown clients as the Pontiac Division of General Motors, Pfizer, Mohegan Sun, Foxwoods, Lyme Rock Park Raceway, the Hartford Whalers, and the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, among others. Lori semi-retired her advertising agency in 1998 to focus on her love for real estate, investing in commercial and residential properties and land development. During this time she was able to dedicate her free time to serve on the board of directors of such non-profit organizations as the Children's Center of Southeastern Connecticut, the Custom House Maritime Museum and the New London Historical Society. She was founding board-member and vice president of New London's Main Street organization. In 2004, Lori became a career Realtor®, utilizing her advertising strengths to aggressively market her client's properties. She quickly achieved Master’s Club recognition, outselling 95% of all agents in her real estate board. Now, as owner and broker of ShoreViews™, Lori promises to develop a cutting edge, technologically advanced, environmentally conscious real estate company, with the client's complete satisfaction as her top priority. Lori is home from work certified and serves on the Eastern Connecticut Association of Realtors®, the Grievance Committee, and Forms Commitee.

Bill has over 30 years of business and executive management experience. He has served on several private and public organization boards and now chairs, “The Otto Graham Athletic Legacy Fund” for the US Coast Guard Academy. He is also Chairman of the successful and now annual “Otto Graham Golf Classic” that is held at private upscale golf courses here in Southeastern Connecticut to benefit, support and recognize U. S. Coast Guard Academy cadet athletic programs. He started his business career as a sales leader for IBM, achieved a number of distinct top performance awards and progressed thru several management and leadership positions. He played a key sales, leadership, and executive role at Stratus Computer, from start up operations to the company’s public offering. Additionally, he led the start up and growth efforts at a software communications company, served as a senior executive at a national call center outsourcing company as well as a regional IT reseller company.

Prior to entering the technology industry, Thompson served 5-years as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Coast Guard with tours of duty in Vietnam and the Antarctica. He was the youngest Coast Guard Officer selected for the initial Vietnam deployment and he served as an Executive Officer and then Commanding Officer for their 82’ patrol boats. He served in Antarctica as an Operations Officer aboard, what was then, the world’s largest icebreaker. A graduate of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, Thompson distinguished himself as co-captain of the Academy’s only undefeated and untied football team and co-captain of the baseball team. He was selected as a ‘Small College All-American’ in football and received the inaugural ‘ECAC College Player of the Year Award’ as well as All New England in Baseball and was honored as Southeastern Connecticut’s Athlete of the Year. He was inducted into the Coast Guard Academy’s Athletic Hall of Fame as well as the Northeastern Pennsylvania Athletic Hall of Fame.

He is an avid golfer, licensed Connecticut Real Estate Broker with Graduate Realty Institute and Senior Real Estate Specialist designations as well as a licensed USCG Captain and Master for vessels up to 100 tons. As owner and operator of SeaScape Charters he is pleased to offer Excellence in Custom Cruising aboard his 40’ motor yacht and of course eager and pleased to offer Excellence in Real Estate Client Services.
